After the meeting, Prime Minister Mateusz Morawetski announced the creation of a project entitled “An Economic and Social Anti-Crisis Shield for the Security of Business and Workers in Respect of the SARS-Cov-2 Pandemic”.

The Prime Minister stressed that at this time the government and state institutions should take care not only about the health of citizens, but also about the economy, which is “very badly affected” by the coronavirus epidemic.

Moravetsky said the estimated cost of the five-pillar package is about PLN 212 billion ($ 52 billion). These pillars include the protection of workers from job losses, health care, financial system security, business support and public investment.
